Rented Toyota Yaris for 2 weeks. Pros and cons:
+ cheap price!
+ 1st class insurance included with possibility to upgrade to zero fee
+ car was technically very well maintained
+ they deliver and pick up the car to/from your hotel, condo...
+ no credit card needed
+ free additional drivers
+ good contact all the way

- 6 y old model (although they informed it)
- cheapest basic Yaris model without anything extra, also no electric front windows :) or bluetooth, etc. Nothing extra!
- useless outdated navigator
- car had few scratches and dents (you need to notice them before you sign!)
- deposit paid with card was returned in cash
- needs better info about insurance, what it really covers and what it doesn't
- they didn't care that i didn't have an international driving license!

Overall: everything went ok. Car was a bit of disappointment (old, basic model with dents). Next time we'll add few more hundred bahts to get more better model.

I rented a Suzuki Swift for 4 months and albeit MAKS was not the lowest cost rental agency in Pattaya it is one of the best IMHO.

The car was delivered in great condition and comes equipped with a backup protection device that will make an audible sound if the vehicle comes with 1 meters of an object.

It also has a USB connector that actually works so you could recharge your phone in the car.

I highly recommend MAKS.

Great rental. An employee drove a car, a clean car. Passed as fast as he took. The deposit was returned immediately.

We have had the opportunity to rent from Maks car rental on 5 separate occasions. Every time has been an easy process and excellent service. The cars have never been a problem are clean and taken care of. If you have a problem they respond quickly to help. We will continue to rent from Maks on every trip to Pattaya and that's twice a year.

First of it was super easy service and good car that i rented. I wasn't sure to driving car in Pattaya however it was good experience and saved my cost and time much. Rental price was lower than other services.
Had Child seat free and GPS provided. Cars conditions are good. No mileage limit over 7 days was good deal. We needed to extend the rental by 1 more day and just texted to company and doesn't require to come.

Easy to find in Jomtien Pattaya with a fairly good range of vehicles to choose from (4x4, Pickup, SUV, 7-seater, city car). Prompt service (English, Thai or Russian) with easily understandable contract rules. Cars are clean and after 3 recent rentals (7-21 days), no issues with the cars.

Great service and staff. Try yo rent a pickup truck for the next day..was all rented out..so took a honda 7 seater instead. So better to order ahead if you need a specific car. Friendly staff.clearly explenation of the rules.
I brought the car 1 day early. But policy is no refund for early bing back.. no problem for me as it was clearly mentioned the first day i rented the car. They even suggested to keep it longer. Also no pronlem to get the deposit back..very honest shop.

Rented a Honda City for a good price. Very basic, no lumbar support so my back was killing me. Office staff were excellent.
Left my Ray-Ban sunglasses in the car went back 2 days later to ask about them and they hadn't been found, yet the car had been cleaned. I didn't see the car cleaner but I'm sure he's sporting a very nice pair of sunglasses.
I will use that Services again but I want to leave my sunglasses in the car ????

Rented small car from MAKS car rental for a month. Their rates are extremely competitive in the Pattaya market. Car was delivered free of charge to our home. The free GPS provided made navigating around the city simple. Vehicle report was thorough and comprehensive and any of my concerns regarding pre-existing damage were noted. Extended the rental period by a day over the phone which was extremely easy. Overall found the service professional with all of my queries answered in detail regarding insurance, accidents and deposit. Would definitely rent from MAKS again.
